Echocardiography

Echocardiography, often simply called “echo”, is a non-invasive test that uses sound waves (ultrasound) to create images of your heart. These images help assess how your heart valves are moving, as well as the size of your heart chambers and their overall function. A specialized diagnostic cardiac sonographer (DCS) will apply some gel to your chest and use a small device called a transducer to capture these images. We are accredited by EQI (Echocardiography Quality Improvement), ensuring we meet national standards for quality and safety.
