Diagnostic Imaging

Our imaging department is powered by a skilled team of professionals who play a crucial role in patient care - delivering precise, high-quality imaging to help detect medical conditions and ensure accurate diagnoses. Together, this team works to ensure efficient, accurate, and compassionate diagnostic and therapeutic care.

Collingwood General and Marine Hospital (CGMH) provides a range of imaging technologies to assess diseases and internal body structures. Please refer to the program specific buttons below for more information.

Booking an appointment

Patient service representatives (PSR) play an important role, assisting patients with bookings, preparation and coordination throughout the imaging process.

All imaging examinations require a booked appointment, with the exception of X-rays. X-rays are available on a walk-in basis or can be pre-booked online. Please refer to the X-ray tab for more information.

Once your requisition is received from your healthcare provider, a PSR from our booking team will contact you to schedule your appointment. Please note that requisitions are prioritized based on urgency and service availability. Urgent requests will be scheduled within two weeks, while others may take longer.

Referrals

A referral completed by an authorized healthcare provider is required for all imaging services, with the exception of mammograms through the Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP). Referrals are accepted as a completed requisition via fax or e-mail, or Ocean eReferrals.
