Janet Currie joined the CGMH Board in 2025.

Janet is a respected leader with over 35 years of experience in accounting, audit, and tax, with expertise across a wide range of industries including not-for-profit, manufacturing, professional services, and retail.

A Partner with the Collingwood office of Baker Tilly, Janet previously served as Managing Partner, successfully leading the former Collins Barrow firm through its transition from a regional practice to becoming part of the Baker Tilly co-operative. Prior to that, she was part of the regional firm Gaviller & Company, becoming a Partner in 1999. Janet is proud to have held HR leadership roles within the office, where she inspired and mentored many emerging professionals.

Janet has extensive community and volunteer experience, including 20 years with the Kinette Service Club of Collingwood – serving as Executive, President, and District Treasurer – Vice President of the Collingwood Chamber of Commerce, and Board Chair of Community Futures South Georgian Bay. She also served for 11 years on the Conduct Committee of CPA Ontario, including three years as Deputy Chair.

She holds professional designations as an FCPA, FCMA, and CFP, and earned a BA from the University of Waterloo.

A long-term resident of South Georgian Bay, Janet grew up in Clearview and now lives in Collingwood. When not working, Janet can be found golfing or travelling.
