Dr. Dave Ohrling

Dr. Dave Ohrling is Chief of Anesthesia at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital and has been a resident of Collingwood for more than 20 years. He is also an Emergency Physician and an active member of CGMH's Environmental Sustainability Committee.

Dr. Ohrling completed his medical training at Western University and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada with certifications in both Emergency Medicine and Anesthesia. He also holds a Diploma in Sport Medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine and has been appointed Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor by both McMaster University and Queen's University.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ohrling has combined clinical practice with a strong commitment to education, quality improvement, and innovation in patient care. His professional interests include point-of-care ultrasound, healthcare quality improvement, and the role healthcare organizations can play in leading efforts toward environmental sustainability.

Having lived and worked in the South Georgian Bay region for more than two decades, Dr. Ohrling values the unique lifestyle, strong sense of community, and outdoor recreation opportunities the area offers.
