
Angela Wiggins
Vice President, People and Culture and Chief Human Resources Executive
Angela Wiggins joined CGMH as the Vice President, People and Culture and Chief Human Resources Executive (VP-CHRE) in 2025.
Angela is an experienced and results-driven leader, with a focus on practical, people-centred solutions. She was previously the Vice President, People and Culture and Chief Human Resources Officer at Georgian Bay General Hospital and in-house legal counsel at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. Prior to joining the healthcare sector, Angela provided strategic legal advice to healthcare clients in private practice.
Angela holds a Law Degree from Queen’s University and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2016. She is currently pursuing a microcredential in DEIB and has completed an Executive Leadership Program through Georgian College and Lakehead University. Her academic background also includes an Honours Degree in Ethics, Society and Law/Political Science from the University of Toronto and training in trauma-informed workplace practices.
A committed volunteer, she currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for CMHA Simcoe County, and was previously the Chair of Personnel and Finance Committee and Board Member of the Barrie Public Library.
