RSV Outbreak Declared on the Medical Unit

In consultation with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU), an RSV outbreak has been declared on CGMH’s Medical Unit.

CGMH understands that visitors are an important part of the healing process.  At this time, patients may have one visitor at a time. 

Visitors are asked to:

• Adhere to the hospital's PPE guidelines. Further instruction may be provided upon arrival.
• Practice proper hand hygiene. Please clean your hands with sanitizing gel as you arrive at the hospital, and before entering the unit.
• Wear a mask for the duration of your visit. Masks are located at the front of the hospital and again at the Medical Unit doors.
