Vaccination clinics are located in Barrie/Innisfil, South Simcoe, North Simcoe, the Couchiching area, South Georgian Bay and Muskoka and will operate on rotating days.

Other priority groups who have not yet received Dose 1 can pre-register through the health unit's COVID-19 Vaccine Pre-Registration Portal. The portal and eligibility information is available on the health unit's website here

Once an individual pre-registers, they will be sent an email invitation from the province with a booking code to schedule an appointment via the provincial online booking system. This e-mail will not be sent immediately - it may take a number of days or even weeks depending on vaccine supply and volume of registrations.

AstraZeneca vaccine can now be given to anyone 55+ through primary care pilot

On March 16, 2021, NACI expanded its recommendation for the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine to individuals aged 18 and older.

As of March 22, primary care settings, pharmacies and some vaccine clinics participating in the provincial AstraZeneca pilot program can offer vaccine appointments to anyone aged 55 and over.

In SGB, individuals can find out more information on how to receive this vaccine at at:

As a reminder, individuals should not call their primary care provider to inquire about this. Please leave the phone lines free for essential appointments.

NOTE: Appointments are only available for those who are eligible, and clinics are not open for walk-ins. Proof of eligibility required upon arrival at clinic.
