CGMH launches refreshed Strategic Plan and new goals
Collingwood General and Marine Hospital (CGMH) is launching its refreshed Strategic Plan, which will guide the hospital's strategic directions until the end of 2024.
In the first few months of 2020, CGMH commenced a strategic refresh process, resulting in overwhelming confirmation of the relevancy of the Strategic Plan's Vision, Mission, Values, Strategic Pillars and Strategic Directions. The process involved consultation with approximately 700 internal and external stakeholders, and a fulsome review of metrics and demographics.
As a result of the feedback process, it validated that the hospitals four strategic pillars of Patient Experience, Our People, Innovation and Partnerships remained strong, and with refreshed goals to work towards, the plan strongly resonated with hospital and community stakeholders.
While the COVID-19 pandemic paused the strategic refresh work for a period of time, the Board of Directors and
Senior Team remained committed to moving the strategic refresh work forward, and is now launching new goals under its four key pillars. (see document here)
"CGMH remains committed to its vision of delivering OUTSTANDING CARE - FOR LIFE, and its mission of advancing community health through compassionate, innovative and collaborative care. Additionally, we believe that the hospital's I CARE AT values are the beacon that shines from within each employee, physician and volunteer," says Norah Holder, CGMH President and CEO. "The refreshed plan outlines the roadmap the hospital will follow for the next three years, as we continue to optimize operations and work on corporate projects."
