Effective, Friday, April 17, all patients and select visitors (who have permission to visit), are to come through the main doors of the hospital where they will be screened for COVID symptoms and directed to their next destination. All patients and visitors will be provided with a mask approved by CGMH for use in the hospital. Everyone entering the hospital will be asked to removed homemade masks or masks worn in form the community to change into the mask issued by CGMH.

Patients and visitors will no longer enter through the tent, which is still located at the front of the hospital.

This is inclusive of pre-booked urgent clinic appointment patients and obstetrical patients. Donations of personal protective equipment should also be dropped off at the screening desk in the Hospital's main lobby.

At this time, visitors are currently restricted. Exceptions will be considered for compassionate care, when assisting a minor or special circumstances (one visitor per family, per patient).
